The Christian Science Committee on Publication for New York State is one of many offices world-wide providing accurate information about Christian Science, the Church of Christ, Scientist, and its Founder, Mary Baker Eddy to the media, legislature, and the public .

Christian Science

Mary Baker Eddy discovered Christian Science in 1866 and founded The Church of Christ, Scientist in 1879.

The Church of Christ, Scientist is designed to "commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing"
(Church Manual p.17:10-13).

Christian Science is based on the teachings and healings of Christ Jesus and the Bible, and is fully explained in Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, first published in 1875.

Its system of healing has a practical application to individual challenges and daily events.
